One-stop center in development of futuristic innovation ecosystems

National Regulatory Sandbox

FUTURISE has been given the mandate by the Government of Malaysia to drive the National Regulatory Sandbox, an initiative to explore ‘innovation-friendly regulatory approaches’.

We are organizing discussions at various levels and with many stakeholders to ensure that companies are able to grow and serve the key client industries and markets.

So, be part of our ecosystem with partners/programmes in the Co-Design Lab, Industry, Government Consultation, Pilot and Testing, Regulation Review and the Innovation Deployment. Let’s collaborate and act now!

UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE (UAV)
The  Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) LABS began in December 2018 through a series of industry engagements with industry players, ministries/agencies as well as academia. These sessions were aimed to obtain relevant input and recommendations with regards to the current regulations affecting the drones industry in Malaysia.

Through related stakeholders an engagement session organized by Ministry of Transport (“MOT”), Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia (“CAAM”) and Futurise was held on 5 September with the Drones ecosystem. The outcome of the session included recommendations for drone registration, permit and operations, operation limits,  drone traffic management as well as fees and charges of drone operations,

MOT and CAAM is currently drafting the UAV guideline for Malaysia based on the recommendations and input from Futurise and industry players.

The Autonomous Vehicles(AV) Labs began in January 2018 with the AV trial around Futurise compound. The aim of the AV LABS is to promote and support the development of urban mobility while improving road safety, along with better productivity, mobility and environmental outcomes through Innovation, Regulation & Commercialization.

A guideline to allow for AV trials to be conducted on dedicated public roads within Cyberjaya will be developed by relevant MOT agencies with recommendations and input from Futurise and industry players.
